~Advanced Rp Guide~

  Ok, so we've been through beginners and intermediate Rp guides, now let's talk about the Advanced Rp Guide. Here's some advanced Rp terms you'll need to know:

-Crack: Something that is intentionally humorous, not to be taken seriously. Ex. -Lord Voldemort baking muffins for Snape.-
-Metagaming: For example knowing that a character likes strawberry icecream when it has never been mentioned, and your character has no basis for this fact.
-Non-Joined Player: A character that is more fully developed than an NPC, but belongs to one player and is most likely recurring for a plot/specific events.
-Non-Player Character: A character that is not important to be created, able to be used by any player, and generally only for a situation. Ex. -The bus driver drove them to Miami Beach, where they were ready to search for any traces of where Calla and Lucifer may have gone.- (The bus driver is the Non-Player Character.)
-Retcon: Erasing certain plots or stories from a character's bio so as to assume they never happened.
-PB: The "face" of the character, is usually a visual representation. Like a drawing or a real person.
-Wangst: Too much angst. Usually referring to when someone mentions something bad in their character's past and how it can only get worse. Usually referring to why a certain character's behavior or personality is the way it is. Ex. -Spade looked up at Scarllet and smirked.- "Maybe if my dad hadn't killed my mom I wouldn't be so messed up."

   In order to become an official Advanced Rper, you have to know most of the terms that I've shared with you in all the guides, so you won't be deemed a noob. Most of you have to remember, its not how your avatar is dressed that deems how good of an Rper you are, its how experienced you are in the practice of actual Rp. Most Rp's can go on for days on end, not continuously, but you can continue the same story with a person for as long as both of you like. I'll be posting cool new Rp character bio's you can use for Rp soon! ^-^

Hey guys, I was surfing the web and I found these awesome wallpapers! Check 'em out:

That up there is a certified epic Vladimir Tod Wallpaper. For those of you who've read the EPIC series, you'd know that this is probably a spitting image of Vlad, and I must say, I love it as my wallpaper.

Lolz this next one I deem pretty awesome. I prefer the style of cyberpunk lately from anything else, and this has made a pretty damn cool wallpaper for the last 2 hours XD I had to change it back to Vladimir Tod O-O

This one was hilarious to use on my dad, he walked past and I was cleaning up my desktop and he looked at me and said; "Um...why is that gun loaded with smiley faces??" And my response was: "Because spreading world peace is harder than it sounds." XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

And finally, look at this epic Rave Wallpaper. It looks like a glow in the dark Mission Impossible scene. Made a totally cool wallpaper, but it was kinda hard to find stuff on the desktop because the main focus was the abstractness of the piece, but all in all, awesome wallpaper!

~Intermediate Rp Tips~

    Back again with some tips for the Intermediate Rper. Now that you know what an entrance and noob is, its time to get more "intimate" with your Rp style. Here's a basic term you need to know:
- "More than casual" wording: More than casual wording is just adding a little spark in what you say/type. For example, instead of doing this: -Vlad though about it.- "I don't think that's a good idea." Instead, add a little more information and feeling to the text, and do this: -Vlad mulled the thought over in his mind, quietly contemplating the decision. After a moment of silence between them, Vlad nervoulsy ran a hand through his hair and looked at his uncle.- "Otis, I don't think that going after D'Ablo tonight would be a good idea. Doing that would be putting more than half of the people in Bathory in mortal danger of the sadistic vampire." *Tip:Adding a little "zest" to your entrance can enhance the mood, and get the person you're Rping with like you more. People like it when you use a lot of feeling in what you write, likewise with any response throughout the Rp.*

  Remember, giving the characters real depth and emotion is a crucial factor of a good Rp. Without that factor, the Rp is as good as dead.
  Don't forget that it's your duty to the Rper to make the Rp enjoyable for your partner, as well as you. Don't be too hasty in what to type, sometimes taking the time to write a good response is more worthwhile to the person your writing too, than typing a dumb response in about 5 seconds.
  Another word of advice, Rper's tend to like to be exact in their wording and spelling. Usually, Rper's are pretty articulate, and they tend to use big fancy words to describe certain emotions or events. They also hate it when you use a word wrong/incorrectly, and it REALLY ticks them off when you don't have correct spelling. Example: -Jimmy chewd on an appl.- Nobody likes an idiot who can't spell, so take the time to check over what you wrote so that it's spelled correctly.
  Don't forget that what you write has to make sense. You can't have an axe murderer come into a make out scene randomly. It's pretty retarded, and the person you're Rping with will be thinking: WTH???? Actually, they might even type it in brackets instead of their repsonse/next post because they have absolutely NO IDEA what the hell you're getting at or what you're talking about.
  Another thing that Intermediate/Advanced Rper's hate is when you use text lingo in an Rp. For Example: -Carla was a h8r, so she said.- "4 rl lozr?" Nobody likes that. If you're going to Rp, take it seriously, otherwise the other person will leave because this Rp was just not worth their time. And its not. If you're going to Rp, be professional about it, and both you and your partner will only get the best and most out of the experience.

 So remember, Rping is all about fun and doing stuff your way. To answer some previous questions, yes you can have more than one Rp character, but you keep it to one character per Rp session. You don't want to confuse the other person, unless like my Rp character, the first one you go with happens to have an evil twin that transforms and takes control of the body of the first character randomly. ~Rp Basics, for the Rp Beginnner~

   Let's start with a simple question. What is Rp? Rp stands for Role Play, the fun writing activity in which two people make a story together, using certain characters. Let's continue with some basic terms you'll need to know:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-Entrance (or more casually known as an intro): Your introduction paragraph in which you introduce the character, time, place, and mood of your person. You would also usually include details on what your character looks like in your entrance, such as height, hair color, eye color, some paranormal/fantasy assets (fangs and claws), and maybe what your character is wearing. Example: -Kage walked into the clearing in the forest, her neon blue and green streaked hair swaying slightly behind her. She was about 6'0 and her eyes were the color of the setting sun. An intense red. Her jeans were slightly ripped here and there, and her t-shirt hugged her curves. Her full lips were set in a scowl and she had scratches everywhere. Kage may have lost this battle, but she would be back for Leona.- *Tip: Making too long or too short of an entrance is appealing to no one. Making too long of an entrance is a drag for people to read, and making too short of an entrance gives the person you're Rping with the impression that you don't want to Rp with them or that you're a noob.*
-Noob: Usually referring to someone who is new to the art of Rp, or someone who randomly interrupts an Rp in a chatroom without knowing what's going on, and totally setting off the mood in which the Rp was progressing in. *Tip: When encountering a species of the dumb kind (noob), try to be polite, but don't brake the Rp when asking them to leave. Usually, people would use brackets to explain to the unwanted person that an Rp is going on, and that they would appreciate their absence. Example: <Sorry, but we're Rping atm....mind if you leave and come back a little later?>*

   The Five Golden Rules of Rp:

<1. > When Rping, make sure to be polite and never try to control the other person's character's actions. This could result in you being banned from the chatroom, the person leaving the chatroom, or you pissing the other person off and breaking the mood of the Rp.

<2. > When introducing your character, don't act like a total rapist, because that appeals to no one. Slowly build up to the mood you want by implying small details in each post. Then you'll be subtle, but the other person knows what your hinting at and hopefully, leads up to the moment too.

<3. > If your Rp character somehow gets wounded in battle or whatever, don't have them die. That puts an abrupt and dumb end to the whole Rp, and people hate it. Your characters should be able to be wounded, but not killed. However, you might be able to have a dramatic resurrection, although people don't usually prefer it, its an option.

<4. > Don't ever act like your character is perfect. Usually, they all have some big secret, but acting like your God won't get you anywhere in an Rp. People like weakness, because they exploit it to create the general Rp plot.

<5. > Last but not least, don't EVER yell out random shit during an Rp. It confuses people, and quite frankly, its pretty R3TARD3D XD The more serious you are about your Rp, the more seriously people take you, thus improving your Rp profile to others.
